Before the work of building was accomplished, people dwelt in the tower. Rooms were splendidly furnished, decorated and devoted to their idols. Those who did not believe in God, imagined if their tower could reach unto the clouds, they would be able to discover reasons for the flood.” Sister White continued, “They exalted themselves against God.”
When Lucifer exalted himself above Jesus, the Son of God, he was cast down. He made a warfare over the Sonship of Christ. The enemy of God built in his mind a tower of rebellion to exalt himself. To exalt the creature as above his Creator. Satan broke the first commandment of God in Exodus 20:3, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” He and a third of the fallen angels were banished from heaven.
When those “people saw Moses delayed his coming from the mount” (Exodus 32:1), they exalted their opinions and rebelled against the primary commandment of God to have no other gods except Him. Aaron, perhaps, thought it wise to gather all their golden earrings, as a token of his desire to reform them from their self exaltation to built a golden representation of their collective rebellion and idolatry. He yielded to the will of the masses. Their tower of rebellion was crushed. The people were made to drink the burned golden calf. Aaron forced them to be naked to shame them. And about 3000 men fell that day.
Today in our time, the tower of rebellion is made in the minds and hearts of God’s people. They exalt themselves, not only with their display of wealth and luxury, but with their ideas and sophistries. God’s people had made a name for themselves and had carve unity among all the nations of the heathen by conforming to the Trinity idol. “Three Gods that make one God.” Thus replacing the One True God of Exodus 20:3 and John 17:3 with false gods. Their institutions will be swept away. Their economy will be ruined.
Sister White concluded about the tower of Babel, p. 92-93 “Up to this time, men had spoken but one language. Lightning from heaven, as a token of God’s wrath, broke off the top of their tower, casting it to the ground. Thus God would show to rebellious man that he is supreme.”
Trinitarians repent and turn to the Only True God and His Son!
