Philippians 4:13 KJV, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” And in v. 19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Christ showed complete reliance on His Father and depended solely on God’s Word. Yes, we can do the same today. Yes we can obey the commandments of God through Christ’s example. Paul exhorted us that God will supply not the material means but His riches in Christ Jesus, His Only Begotten. What are God’s riches? Love and truth (Ephesians 2:4, 1 John 4:7-8). Obedience, is therefore, the fruit of love and truth (John 14:6,15).
Christ’s obedience to His Father can be ours by faith in Him. We can overcome sin and temptations through Christ’s righteouness. This is the gift He gave and supplied to us. Yes, Christ’s grace and love produces in us obedience to His Father’s law and thus we are more than conquerors!
There is no more excuse in continuing in and to sin. No more treason, cause, or reason to transgress God’s holy law. Jesus showed it all and done it all. Now, are we willing to accept Him in our lives and be victorious? Yes we can!
