How to Discern Clear & Present Dangers in the New Age Christian Churches

Here are some of the discussion points that I see are clear and present dangers in our spiritual struggle between Christ and Satan for worship and supremacy.

1. No clear emphasis on Scriptures and its teachings and more emphasis on popular messages of feel good themes, pop psychology, and “soft” Christian teachings (cheap grace, pro-LBGT, etc.)
2. Spiritual formation (mixture of Buddhism, Hinduism, Monasticism, Meditation, Contemplative, Catholicism) and less or none on sound Biblical Spirituality.
3. Sunday as the primary day of worship and other days, too. Saturday (Bible Sabbath) is Jewish and obsolete.
4. Charismatic preachers and pastors are the new fad. Magnetic, attractive and suave personality is the new cult of mega churches, emerging churches, church on nightclubs, bars, etc.
5. Ecumenical (one universal church) is the end game. Protestant embracing Catholics. All Christian faiths will be one. This will be easy because they agree on Sunday sacredness,  immortality of the soul, and some points of traditions.
6. Preterist, furturist and idealist interpretation of Daniel & Revelation.
7. Departure from established Bible truths and inserting new age interpretation based on popular culture (acceptance of homosexual intercourse and activity) as natural and should be embraced.
8.  No emphasis on healthy lifestyle, moral responsibilities, holy behavior.
9. Focus on inner change but outward change (smoking, alcoholism, sexual addiction, etc) is not focused.
10. Philosophy is man’s heart is naturally good. Biblical view is man’s heart is evil.

We are called to discern these clear and present dangers:
1. By “fortifying” or by thoroughly studying the Scriptures.
2. Settling in the established truth of the Scriptures (past, present, future).
3. Positive view of the prophecy and writings of Ellen G. White.
4. “Separation” from the Babel or confusion system (Egyptian, Babylonian, Roman syncretistic religiosity) by upholding the Scriptures.
5. Be aware of the subtle entrance of eastern rituals.
6. The opposite of control is uncontrolled or loose
7. Popular, majority are not always Scripture based
