Nostalgic is a noun which means, “a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one’s life, to one’s home or homeland, or to one’s family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time: ”
We all have past memory and experience that we can re-enjoy by flashback. It may be a time when you first leave your parents home to live in a dormitory. It was a feeling of adventure. Another example maybe when it was the first time you saw the beautiful smile of the person you long to be a friend. That was an awesome feeling. Any memories of happiness of the when and of the where that you remember are called nostalgic.

We must strive to remember because we tend to forget. Let us remember that we are responsible for the life that we live. Endeavor to live a life that will trigger happy memories later on. Allow not unpleasant experiences to crowd the memory vault of our minds as this will overload our nostalgic files and drag us to unhappiness. Strive to fill our present days with good cheer. Overwhelm our system with joy, praise, and hope.

Let us be addicted to faith and good deeds. Let the heart be imprisoned by pure love. Above all, let God become the memories of your everyday life. I am nostalgic, what a pleasant day to be grateful again. I am nostalgic, what a good day to be alive again. I am nostalgic, what a feeling of bliss to hope again.

Every Sabbath we welcome home those who have happy memories in our lives, in our homes, in our churches.

Our happy return reflects our deep longing to be home in heaven someday.
